Description

Music across borders and oceans: the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky celebrated his breakthrough with the ballet music “The Firebird” in 1910 in his adopted home of Paris and later found his last refuge in Los Angeles. The French composer Maurice Ravel was also inspired by the jazz sounds of his American tour, which flowed into his Piano Concerto in G major. Mussorgsky's “Pictures at an Exhibition”, once orchestrated by Ravel, now appears in a remake by Yaron Gottfried - reimagined for jazz trio and orchestra. The Frank Dupree Trio, which brought the concert hall to a boil at its debut in 2024, will be performing once again.
