FORUM DIRIGIEREN is the nationwide support programme of the non-profit project company of the German Music Council for top young conductors in Germany. It promotes young talent through masterclasses in the fields of orchestral conducting and choral conducting and stands for artistic encounters between the young generation of conductors and nationally and internationally renowned conducting personalities. 
 
The FORUM DIRIGIEREN CONCERT SCHOLARSHIP artist list brings together FORUM DIRIGIEREN scholarship holders who have demonstrated their artistic quality over several years. The concerts with artists from the FORUM DIRIGIEREN CONCERT PROMOTION programme are financially supported by the Gesellschaft zur Verwertung von Leistungsschutzrechten mbH (GVL).
 
FORUM DIRIGIEREN is mainly funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Culture and the Media.
