Description
Mozart's Oboe Concerto is the masterpiece of a 21-year-old – composed during his time in Mannheim, far away from his father and the Archbishop of Salzburg. There, Mozart fell in love with Aloysia Weber, the sister of his future wife. The concerto is characterized by lightness, wit, and emotion. It is flanked by two of his last works: the overture to the opera “La clemenza di Tito” and the famous “Jupiter” Symphony. Both are considered highlights of his late work – full of inner grandeur and musical clarity.
