Flammenschrift & Freiheit
10th Philharmonic Concert

Description

Guillaume Connesson’s *Flammen* kicks off an evening brimming with energy and visionary sonic power. In this work, the French composer ignites a musical fireworks display of rhythmic precision, luminous timbres, and explosive force. This is followed by Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony—a work that, like few others, stands for humanity, freedom, and brotherhood. With the famous final chorus from Friedrich Schiller’s “Ode to Joy,” Beethoven transcends the boundaries of the symphony and creates a musical appeal to humanity. Together with the Konstanz Symphonic Choir and soloists from the Zurich Opera House, the Lake Constance Philharmonic will conclude the 2026/27 season with this monumental masterpiece.
