Every movement has a sound—you just have to start listening to it.
In this workshop, we’ll explore together how movement gives rise to sound, rhythm, and music. Jonathan Chazan (Highnoon e.V.) and Peer Kaliss (Constance Music School) invite you to experiment using your body, voice, and simple materials.
The term “scratch” comes from the experimental music scene and essentially means creating music from scratch. Instead of rehearsing a piece, participants will develop musical ideas together—from sounds, movements, and spontaneous ideas. In this way, everyone in the room becomes a sound designer.
Listening, reacting, and trying things out are the focus. Movement gives rise to small musical scenes that constantly change and interconnect. Curious adults, families, and children of all ages are invited. No prior experience is necessary—just a desire to explore.
