3rd Philharmonic Concert

Description

Artificial intelligence meets emotional depth: a specially developed Lake Constance Overture is based on sound material from works by Sergei Rachmaninov - generated by an AI system. The Russian composer's subsequent second piano concerto emerged from a personal crisis and became one of the most impressive works of the late Romantic period. In between, Sibelius' second symphony unfolds vast sonic spaces that can be understood as a musical metaphor for freedom and independence - spanning the arc between nature, identity and sound. Vassilis Varvaresos makes his debut in Constance - not only as an excellent piano virtuoso, but also as an ingenious improviser in all styles. A phenomenon!
