Winterträume
5th Philharmonic Concert

Description

Taiwan-born, Vienna-trained conductor Yi-Chen Lin joins forces with the exceptional saxophonist Asya Fateyeva for her debut in Konstanz. Born in Crimea and now based in Hamburg, Fateyeva is regarded as a pioneer who has brought a refreshing new energy to the classical music scene with her instrument. Together, they will present Glazunov’s Saxophone Concerto and Villa-Lobos’s Fantaisie, pulsating with Brazilian rhythms. The program is framed by Dvořák’s Othello Overture and Tchaikovsky’s First Symphony, his beloved “best youthful folly.”
