„wir_jetzt_hier“ – Das Wir steht im Mittelpunkt

Mainau Island, March 26, 2026 – Anyone wishing to attend the major stage production “wir_jetzt_hier” to mark the 10th anniversary of the Mentor Foundation Germany can now sign up for the waiting list online. The performances will take place on October 7 and 8, 2026, at 7 p.m. each evening at the Bodenseeforum in Konstanz.

“wir_jetzt_hier” is told from the perspective of young people aged 15 to 19. It explores their concerns, desires, hopes, and questions, addressing the issues that matter to young people today. Under the overall artistic direction of author, actor, and Mentor Ambassador Oliver Wnuk, the play offers honest, multifaceted, and immediate insights into the minds of the younger generation. The production uniquely combines cultural education, personal development, and social participation—and demonstrates how many “I’s” can come together to form a strong “we.”

This sense of “we” runs not only through individual scenes but throughout the entire performance. In addition to the young people, the cast includes the Lake Constance Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of principal conductor Gabriel Venzago and the large choir of the Geschwister-Scholl-Schule. Behind the scenes, numerous partners are also involved—including the European Cultural Forum Mainau e.V. and volunteer mentors—with the Mentor Foundation Germany taking the lead in all of this.

The foundation was established in 2016 on the island of Mainau and is part of the international mentor network launched in 1994 by Her Majesty Queen Silvia of Sweden. The foundation’s goal is to empower young people and support them in their personal development.
